A reader’s question: How can couples break the habit and spend more quality time together instead of talking to others on their smart phones all the time? My answer: This is a great question! Lack of presence in human interactions is an epidemic of our time and one of the greatest relationship challenges. In order to fully grasp the solution, it’s crucial to understand: 1. Why is this happening? 2. How does it DESTROY your relationships? 3. How to break free from this addiction? If you look around in public places, most people will be glued to some sort of a screen: watching, typing, or talking on the phone...
There is no doubt that there are insecure women out there who try to manipulate men and play games which prevents them from experiencing deep intimacy and fulfillment. However, an evolved man is unlikely to devote to a woman like that. Your partner is ALWAYS your mirror. An evolved woman knows God in her man and doesn’t settle to accept a mediocre version of him.
Men are naturally driven to be victorious. Many have championed the battles in business or sports, but when it comes to winning the heart of a chosen woman they wane. The brave heart, who can come out triumphant out of life’s toughest challenges, gets disarmed and disabled when his woman is irrational, unhappy, emotional or complaining. Conquering a woman is similar to conquering natural forces – try to surmount wind, ocean or fire. A woman’s heart and soul are sacred treasures; they are precious, very delicate and vulnerable. Therefore, the heart of a woman is hidden and surrounded by thick barriers. It is guarded by huge walls of distrust, insecurities, doubt, disbelief and concern. It wants to be liberated to express itself fully; it wants to shine and create more life and love.
I was returning to Los Angeles after 2 days of Strategic Business Planning with Kelly O’Neil when my ability to stand my ground and honor the truth in my heart was tested. A friend dropped me off at the airport parking lot and I was to walk across the bridge to get inside the terminal. A pedestrian walkway to cross the street was closed and a woman in Police uniform was directing traffic, facing me. She held back the pedestrians and allowed taxies to drive by. About 3 minutes had passed, but the woman made no attempt to let the pedestrians cross the street. The crowd was growing on both sides of the road. It was quite cold: 34°F. “Can you be a human being and let us go – we’re freezing,” I shouted. “You have to wait!” She snapped back.
When I was in kindergarten, my father told me: “If someone tries to hurt you, grab the heaviest object around and hit them over the head.” Now, that’s quite an unusual advice to give to your little girl. I remember protesting and saying “What if I kill them?” He said “You worry about that later, if someone endangers you - you protect yourself!” “But I am a girl!” I gasped. “Exactly, and you need to be able to stand up for yourself.” As harsh and unusual as this advice was, it served me tremendously throughout life. In fact, I remember clearly two instances when I had to apply it.
Seduction is a mental arousal which occurs between the lines of your communication. The hottest quality of a lover is authenticity. The courage to be bold in expressing your desires and your confidence, which allows you to remain unattached to the outcome create an irresistible combination.
This story started with a riddle someone posted on Facebook: “The most ephemeral substance in the universe is pursued by both rich and poor, both learned and ignorant, both strong and weak. It can be both a tonic and a poison. What is it?” The answer posted to this riddle was “romantic love,” with which I argued that True love doesn't have an antagonist, it's irresistible and heavenly, and it is only a tonic. Obsession, on the other hand, turns into poison and it has nothing to do with love. The next comment got me thinking – it read “Romantic love and true love are not synonymous.” They’re not?
